For its first 13 years, the club was situated at the Bryn, just outside of Newtown, before moving to its current location in 1908. A notable moment in St Giles' history occurred in 1911 when the legendary golfer Harry Vardon, who was providing guidance to the Llandrindod Wells Golf Club, visited St Giles. Vardon lent his expert opinion on the proposed extension to the course, leaving a lasting mark on its design.
Today, St Giles Golf Club boasts a challenging par 70 parkland course spanning 6012 yards. With the River Severn running alongside and coming into play on three holes, players must navigate the rises and falls of the terrain, adding an element of excitement and strategy to their game.
