The club's rich history dates back to 1969 when the concept of a new golf course at Ingestre Park was conceived. Designed by Mr. Jiggins of F W Hawtree & Co., the 18-hole course and the Clubhouse were constructed, marking the birth of Ingestre Park Golf Club on January 1, 1978.
Recently, the course underwent extensive enhancements due to the HS2 project's impact in 2013. Since 2021, significant construction work has taken place, resulting in 13 new holes built to USGA specifications on adjacent land, and the 5 retained holes reconstructed to match the same high standard. With a comprehensive drainage system connected to strategically designed lakes, the course is now playable throughout more of the year.
